Fantasy on the spot
Recently we had a folder that was printed in only 3 colours but received a cmyk file. This is quite normal practice, but when the area of the single colours are quite large, the sharpness and print quality would be vastly improved if they were printed in spot colour. We were able to change the file from CMYK to spot colour in this example and the end result was very well received by the client.

Tip of the month
On the subject of colour – well, not surprising really since we are printers – a job required gold ink overprinting. A single print of the gold would not be enough to make the gold shine so Fantasy took the decision to give it an extra pass to make it really glitter and achieve the impression the client and designer wanted. You may want to think of giving these special highlights a second pass in the printing process to give the "lift" your job deserves. |
