A client producing a golf course booklet didn’t have the budget to laminate all the pages to make it waterproof for the rainy UK, only the cover, so we advised gloss varnish to help the wet predicament. And to save the golfer from scratches and the booklet getting “dog-eared” corners, the booklets were given round corners.

When producing books, beware of margins – the gutter and the outside edge, or even the top of the page if binding is along the top. Different binding methods require different margin requirements and the thickness of a saddle-stitched book will come into play too. We don't want to see vital information going unseen or getting cut off so make sure there's room.
